Øyvind Berntsen is the new CEO of Smallworld Nordic as of July 1st. Øyvind has 20 years of experience in the company, as a developer, consultant, consulting manager, Head of Product & Technology, and now most recently in the position of CTO/CISO. 

He was first introduced to the company and the technology through summer jobs during his data science studies at NTNU in Trondheim in the early 2000s.

Øyvind will succeed Albert Bjørnsund, who has held various roles as CFO, COO and CEO since 2015 and has been crucial for the development of the business. During this period, revenue has increased significantly, leading to positive financial results. Albert will continue as senior advisor for a period, thus ensuring both continuity and renewal.
